Giovanni Pellino (born October 7, 1967) is an Italian singer-songwriter, rapper, composer, producer, and musician best known as Neffa.
Pellino was born in Scafati and moved to Bologna with his family when he was a child. He was a drummer in many rock and punk bands in the late 1980s, including Negazione.
In 1991, he joined the hip hop group Isola Posse All Stars and took the stage name "Neffa" in honor of Paraguayan footballer Gustavo Neffa, who was at the time playing for the United States.
In 2007, Neffa won a Globo d'oro for best score as well as a Nastro d'Argento and a Ciak d'oro for best original song ("Passione") for his work on Ferzan zpetek's Saturn in Opposition.
