Neil Jordan is a writer and director who was born in Ireland on the 25th of February 1950. He studied literature and historical research at Dublin College in Ireland, which ultimately led him to esteemed institutions. His work on "The Crying Game" earned him the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay. Moreover, he worked on the movie "The Butcher Boy," which was awarded the Silver Bear at the Berlin International Film Festival. This is the prize that is presented to the director who is deemed to have been the "Best Director." He is also sometimes known as a novelist. In addition, he was the director of the 2007 film The Brave One, in which the actress Jodie Foster starred.
