Nellee Hooper was born on 15th March, 1963 in Bristol, England, United Kingdom. He is a music producer, DJ, remixer, mixer, composer, songwriter and programmer. Hooper is known for his collaborations with artists and performers such as Madonna, Goldie, Tracy Chapman, Paloma Faith, DJ Shadow, Wild Palms, Big Boi, Rob Thomas, DJ Quik, Kurupt, Tina Turner, U2, Roger Sanchez, Jazzie B., Garbage, Rockabye Baby!, Gwen Stefani, Seal, Hush, No Doubt, Louie DeVito, Hunk, and many more. He was one of the most popular and successful dance-oriented pop music producers in the late 80s and through the 90s. In the movies, he is known for his work on “Romeo + Juliet”, “Batman & Robin”, “Black Rain”, etc. Hooper has won a Grammy Award for Album of the Year for the album “How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb”, and a BAFTA Award, formerly known as Anthony Asquith Award, for Film Music for the film “Romeo + Juliet”.
