Neon Indian is an indie band from Denton, Texas, U.S. led by Alan Palomo accompanied by several musicians like Jorge Palomo, Ed Priesner and Leanne Macomber although the line-up of the band is quite dynamic. Palomo was born in Monterrey, Mexico on the 24th of July, 1988, and he relocated to Texas during his childhood. His love for music started at a young age and he had several bands before forming Neon Indian around 2009. Their debut album “Psychic Chasms”, released that same year, was very well received by the critics. Pitchfork Magazine listed Neon Indian’s album as number 14 on it’s Top 50 Albums. In 2011, they released their second album “Era Extraña” which was co-produced by Dave Fridmann alongside Palomo. In 2015, they released their third album “Vega Intl. Night School” before taking a four-year hiatus. In 2019 they released the single “Toyota Man” which gained thousands of streams and was very well received.
