Melbourne, Australia-born twins Miriam and Olivia Nervo teamed up in 2005 to form the very energetic DJ duo simply named NERVO. Although their start in the entertainment industry began when they were signed as models to the Australian Chadwick Models Agency, the girls decided to pursue music since they found it more fun. They were signed to Sony/ATV Music Publishing, and embarked on a career of music production and song-writing. Their first single, released in 2005, was entitled “Boobjob”, and got them national recognition, especially when it hit the Australian radios. That year, they concentrated heavily on writing songs for artists such as Ke$ha, the Pussycat Dolls, and Ashley Tisdale, to name a few.
In 2008, Nervo signed to the Swedish label Razor Boy, and shortly after, they co-wrote the extremely popular song “When Love Takes Over” for Kelly Rowland and David Guetta. The song won a Grammy Award and was recognized by Billboard as the #1 dance pop collaboration of all time. Nervo signed with Virgin Records/EMI Music in 2010, and continued to write music for Britney Spears, Cheryl Cole, Kylie Minogue, and Sophie Ellis-Bextor. Later, they would release the single “You’re Gonna Love Again” in 2012, which went to #1 on the Hype Machine chart.
