New Edition is a popular R&B group, formed in 1981, in Boston, Massachusets. The group had their big break just one year after when they entered the local Hollywood Talent Night and came in the second place but still were able to impress the singer/producer Maurice Starr which arranged them a record deal and helped them record their debut album named Candy Girl in his studio. The group released two more albums before their member Bobby Brown decided for a solo career. After their fifth album, New Edition went on a hiatus but then got back together the next year, only to break up again one year after. In 2002 the second reunion of New Edition followed and with that, their seventh album.
