New Hollow is an American rock band that was formed in New Albany, Ohio. It was composed of Michael “Mookie” Clouse, Evan West & Chad Blashford, who left the group in 2018. Their single, “SiCK”, was released 2010, and reached the Billboard Hot 100. It sold over 28,000 physical copies in its first week. In 2010, New Hollow’s single “SiCK” beat out was the top single of 2010 on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles Sales Chart. In 2011, the band released their second single “Boyfriend” and it also entered the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
That same year, they released their third single, a cover of the B.o.B/Hayley Williams’ song, “Airplanes”, which entered the Billboard Hot Singles Sales Chart at the number one spot in 2011 edition. Their first three singles all climbed to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles Sales Chart, which is the first tiem this was accomplished by an unsigned band with no radio play. Following multiple collaborations and more releases, the group members West and Clouse relocated to Nashville, TN in 2018 and continued to write, record and produce.
