Nicholas James Muscarella (born December 1, 1982 in Greenville, Pennsylvania) is an American actor and TV star. James was studying marketing when he decided he wanted to become an actor. He left college and moved to Los Angeles.
Arriving in Hollywood with nothing but $200 and a pocket full of dreams and hopes, James took acting classes from some of the best tutors, including acting coach Vincent Chase. He also maintained positions at various pubs and worked as a model to support himself and pay for his acting studies.
His first chance to become a professional actor came in 2006 when he landed a role in the movie “Eating Out 2: Sloppy Seconds.” After that, he worked in two more films in 2008 and 2009, “Prom Night” and “Fire Up!.” Subsequently, he also made appearances in several series, including “The Client List,” “N.C.I.S.: New Orleans,” “Jane by Design,” “The Client List,” “Revenge,” and many more.
In 2016, James got his big break when he secured a lead role in the crime drama series “The Haves and the Have Nots.” He maintained his role in the show until the end of the series in 2021. In May 2022, he married Tika Sumpter — who he met on the set of the show.
