Nick Carter Bio

Nickolas Gene Carter, also known as Nick Carter, is an American pop singer, songwriter, and entertainer born in Jamestown, New York, in 1980. He became famous as part of the 1990s boy band Backstreet Boys. Carter started his media career early as a child, doing musical theatre and even playing a small part in the 1990 film “Edward Scissorhands.” Later, Carter took part in dance groups and attended numerous boy band auditions, and was eventually selected to join the Backstreet Boys in 1993 as the band’s youngest member. Carter enjoyed global fame with the Backstreet Boys, and in 2002 he left the band to pursue his solo career, making his debut with the LP “Now Or Never.” Carter followed up with two more albums in 2011 and 2015, featuring collaborations with Jordan Knight, Rami Yacoub, Carl Falk, among others. Carter has also starred in a reality show for E!, titled “House of Carters,” and took part in the 21st season of “Dance with the Stars!”.
