Nick Faldo Bio
Nick Faldo is a retired professional golfer born on 18th July 1957 in Welwyn Garden City, England. He is known for his outstanding career as a golf player, having ranked number 1 on the Official World Golf Ranking for 97 weeks. He had a passion for golf from a young age. In 1974, he qualified to play in the English Amateur at Woodha Spa. The following year, he won the English Amateur and the British Youths Open Amateur Championship.
Faldo had 41 professional wins in his career. This included 30 wins on the European Tour, 6 major championships, 3 open champions, and 3 Masters. From 2004 to 2006, Faldo worked as a broadcaster for the PGA Tour Coverage on ABC Sports. In October 2006, he signed a contract with CBS as a lead golf analyst at the network. After 16 years as a broadcaster, he retired from CBS.
