Nick Gehlfuss (born January 21, 1985 in Cleveland, Ohio, USA) is an American actor, best known for playing Robbie Pratt in the ‘Showtime’ series ‘Shameless’ and acting as ‘Dr. Will Halstead’ in the ‘NBC’ series ‘Chicago Med.’ He has also appeared in other movies including The Newsroom, Longmire and NBC's other Chicago set shows Chicago P.D. and Chicago Fire.
Gehlfuss lent his voice to the character ‘Martinson Radio’ in the family film ‘Sam Steele and the Junior Detective Agency,’ which premiered at the ‘St. Louis International Film Festival’ on November 22, 2009. He debuted on stage in 2012 with a production of ‘Midsummer Night's Dream’ by ‘Classic Stage Company’ in New York. The performance earned him the ‘Rosemarie Tichler’ award. Subsequently, Gehlfuss performed in numerous plays and secured roles in films and television series.
He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Marietta College and completed his Master of Fine Arts at University of Missouri-Kansas City.
