Nicholas Charles Goepper (born March 14, 1994 in Fort Wayne, Indiana) is an American Olympic freestyle skier most renowned for representing the United States of America.
Goepper began skiing at the age of five. He began competing when he was eleven years old. At thirteen, he landed his first double backflip. In 2009, Goepper moved to Sandy, Oregon where he attended school and trained with professional skiers at Windells Academy (now Wy'East Mountain Academy).
Goepper won a bronze medal at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia. After winning his third Slopestyle X Games gold in 2015, Goepper was sidelined for the rest of the year and nearly all of 2016 following a string of shoulder injuries.
He bounced back to top form in 2018, when he won a silver medal at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea. In 2022, Goepper also won a silver medal at the Winter Olympics in Beijing, China. He has won four gold medals and two silver medals at the Winter X Games. His sponsors include PowerBar, Red Bull, Kulkea, and Völkl. When he isn't skiing, Nick likes to surf, skate, snowmobile, read, and visit museums.
