Nicholas Allan Mangold, popular as Nick Mangold, is a former NFL player born on January 13, 1984, in Centerville, Ohio, USA. He played college football at the Ohio State University from 2002 to 2005, winning the All-Big Ten team twice. In 2006, he was drafted in round one, pick 29 by the New York Jets in the NFL Draft, being the only center picked in the round.
The former NFL center was selected to the Pro Bowl four straight seasons from 2008 to 2011. On August 24, 2010, he became the highest-paid center in the NFL after signing a seven-year $55 million contract with $22.5 million guaranteed. After eleven seasons with the team, he was released by the Jets in February 2017.
Nick retired as a New York Jet. He was selected to the Pro Bowl from 2013 to 2015. In 2006, he won the PFWA All-Rookie Team. Other accolades include first-team All-Pro (2009, 2010) and second-team All-Pro (2011). He played under Rex Ryan.
