Nicolas Cage Bio

Nicolas Cage was born on January 7, 1964 in Long Beach, California. His first role was a minor part in Fast Times at Ridgemont High (1982). He had a lead part in the 1987 movie Moonstruck before landing work on Raising Arizona, Bringing Out the Dead and Matchstick Men. He earned two Academy Award nominations for his roles in Leaving Las Vegas and Adaptation, winning for Leaving Las Vegas. He also won a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor for this role.

The Wicker Man (2006) marked Cage’s venture into horror films, and the next year, he starred in Marvel’s Ghost Rider. He earned notoriety for his work on the National Treasure films and Face/Off. He starred in the film Season of the Witch in 2011. Cage directed Sonny (2002) and executive produced several smaller television programs.
