Nicole Atkins was born on October the 1st 1978 in New Jersey and is an American singer and songwriter. With a sound that draws from soul music, psychedelia and crooner music, she has been compared to such artists as Roy Orbison in her style of music. Getting into the North Carolina independent music scene she began developing her unique style.
Going on to release a strong and steady stream of music, Atkins has released four albums this far, with five EP’s released to date and some of her hit songs include Vultures, Cry Cry Cry, The Tower, Kill the Headlights and Maybe Tonight. With accolades to her name such as three Asbury Music Award wins and an ASCAP Foundation Award win, she is a strong addition to the music industry.
