Nicole C. Mullen, short for Aileen Nicole Coleman-Mullen, is an American gospel songwriter, singer, author and choreographer. She was born on the 3rd of January, 1967, in Cincinnati, Ohio, U.S. Her musical career started at a young age, and while studying in high school, she joined her first band Living Praise. A few years later, in 1991, she recorded her debut album “Don’t Let Me Go” through Frontline Records. She was also a back vocalist for Amy Grant, CeCe Winans and many other gospel artists. She is a prolific artist and until 2020, she has released 11 studio albums, one live album and three compilation albums, besides several hit songs. Her career has been recognized and she holds several prestigious awards, including two Grammy Awards, nine Gospel Music Association Dove Awards, Song of the Year for her super hit “Redeemer” and also for “On My Knees” That made her the first African American woman to win Songwriter of the Year, for the song “Redeemer”.
