Nicole Lapin Bio

Nicole Lapin is a businesswoman, veteran Television news anchor, and author, known for her best sellers “Rich Bitch and "Boss Bitch." Born on March 7, 1984, Lapin grew up in a strict Jewish family in Los Angeles. She was inspired to become a journalist after watching the coverage of the Gulf War on CNN, which her parents had warned against watching due to the portrayal of violence.

Lapin first learned about broadcasting in High School, where she worked as the news anchor for a local cable TV station. She got her BA from the Medill School of Journalism at the Northwestern University and studied European Union politics at L’Institut d’etudes politiques de Paris.

She began her career as a correspondent at CBS Stations in South Dakota and Kentucky. In 2005, Lapin joined CNN as one of the youngest anchors in the network and left in 2010. She joined CNBC that year, interviewing Fortune 500 CEOs and anchoring shows on stock markets and business.

Lapin became an anchor at Bloomberg in 2012, covering technology and interviewing startup CEOs. Her first book “Rich Bitch,” a personal finance guide for women, was published by Harlequin in 2014 and was sold out in a week.

Lapin was once on the cover of PowerGirls Magazine and named “Money Idol” of the Year by GoBankingRates, the first ever female winner.
