NIKI Bio
NIKI, born Nicole Zefanya (January 24, 1999), is a 21 year-old R&B singer, songwriter and producer hailing from Jakarta, Indonesia. She is best known for her 2019 single, ‘lowkey’ with 62 million plays on Spotify. NIKI first gained recognition for her music in 2014 where she uploaded covers and original music on YouTube. In the same year, she opened for Taylor Swift in Jakarta. In 2017, she moved from Indonesia to Nashville to pursue a music degree in Lipscomb University. During her time at Lipscomb, she was signed by 88Rising who also currently manage big R&B names such as Joji and Rich Brian. NIKI is the first female to sign with the label. In the same year of signing, she released single ‘I Like U’ which has 36 million plays on Spotify. In 2018, she released her debut album, ‘Zephyr’ and went on tour with Rich Brian on his Australia & New Zealand and Halsey’s Asia tour in the same year. NIKI’s sweet voice and catchy bops have brought her global recognition and is regarded as “the internet’s favourite R&B princess” as said by Noisey. NIKI currently has over 4 million monthly listeners on Spotify.
