Nikohl Boosheri (born September 3, 1988 in Pakistan) is a Canadian actress and songwriter based in Los Angeles. Boosheri was born in Pakistan while her Iranian parents were fleeing Iran to Vancouver, Canada when she was 2 months old. Although she has never been to Iran, Boosheri speaks English and Persian fluently.
She made her debut in the film, Circumstance. The film won the Sundance Film Festival Audience Award. Boosheri also won Best Performance at multiple film festivals including LA Outfest, the International Rome Film Festival, and Noor Film Festival for her acclaimed performance in the film.
She has also starred in other movies including Farah Goes Bang (2013), The Wedding (2018), Alia's Birth (2020), and See You Then (2021). In 2013, Boosheri was named among Indiewire's 10 actors to watch at the Tribeca Film Festival for her performance in Meera Menon's feature film, Farah Goes Bang. When she’s not acting, Boosheri is often in the studio recording music. She has collaborated with Los Angeles artist Wild the Coyote.
