Nils Hilmer Lofgren, better known as Nils Lofgren, is an American rock musician and multi-instrumentalist. He was born on June 21, 1951, in Chicago, Illinois, and was introduced to music at the young age of five. He had been studying how to play the accordion before making the switch to focus on rock music and learned how to play the guitar and the piano. At the age of nineteen, Nils Lofgren became a member of the rock band Crazy House, famous for their multiple collaborations with the famous musician Neil Young. Nils Lofgren played the piano and the guitar for Neil Young’s album called After the Gold Rush and Tonight’s the Night. He later perused a solo career, releasing more than 25 studio albums. He is also popular for being a member of Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, playing guitar, and being one of the vocalists.
