Nina Hoss is an award-winning German actress best known for her work in film, television, and theatre. She was born in Stuttgart, Baden-Württemberg, Germany, on July 7, 1975.
Nina began acting in theatrical productions at the age of fourteen. She graduated from the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts the year after she made her film debut in the 1996 film And Nobody Weeps for Me. Her filmography now includes The White Massai, Yella, Barbara, Phoenix, and the crime-drama film A Most Wanted Man which also features Philip Seymour Hoffman, Rachel McAdams, Daniel Brühl, and Robin Wright. Nina has had recurring roles in the TV series Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan, The Defeated, and Homeland.
She won a German Film Critics Association Award for Best Actress (Beste Darstellerin), a Jupiter Award for Best German Actress, and a Seattle Film Critics Award for Best Actress.
