Nora Brown is an American singer, songwriter, and musician. She became interested in music when she was a child. Her music is old-traditional with a tint of Kentucky and Tennessee banjo. She has her own studio in Brooklyn, New York, and she has been called a banjo prodigy since she was a child. She often travels to Kentucky to receive banjo lessons from master Lee Saxton and George Gibson. In 2019 she released her first album titled Cinnamon Tree with Jalopy Records. It achieved N°7 on the Billboard Bluegrass Chart. In 2021 she released her first EP named Sidetrack My Engine. She has played in several festivals and venues including TED salon in NYC, Joe’s Pub, Brooklyn Folk Festival, Oldtone Roots Music Festival, and Irvington Folk Festival. She sporadically plays as a duet with fiddlers Stephanie Coleman or Jackson Lynch.
