Northlane is an Australian metalcore band that was formed in 2009 in Greater Western Sydney suburb Blacktown, Australia. The founding members of the band include Jon Deiley (Guitar), Josh Smith (guitar), Brendan Derby (drums), and Alex Milovic (bass). The current band lineup includes Marcus Bridge (vocals), Jon Deiley (guitar), Josh Smith (guitar), and Nic Petterson (drums).The band was named after a song by their fellow metalcore band Architects. They dropped their first album Discoveries in 2011 and it was a hit. It reached #85 on the ARIA chart. They signed with the Melbourne-based label Warner-distributed through which they released their album. Their debut material dropped two years earlier. It was Hollow Existence, a six-track EP. Their albums include Singularity (their sophomore album) dropped in 2013, Node in 2015, Mesmer in 2017, and Alien which appeared in 2019.
