Of Monsters and Men Bio
Of Monsters and Men is a rock band formed in Keflavík, Iceland in 2010. The group members are Nanna Bryndís Hilmarsdóttir, Ragnar Þórhallsson, Brynjar Leifsson, Arnar Rósenkranz Hilmarsson, and Kristján Páll Kristjánsson. Pop and rock are their musical specialty, and their style is indie folk, alternative/indie rock, chamber pop, and indie-pop. Some of their song highlights are “Little Talks”, “Dirty Paws”, “Alligator”, “Hunger”, “Crystals”, “Mountain Sound”, “King and Lionheart”, “Wolves Without Teeth”, “I of the Storm”, and many more. In 2013, they won the European Border Breakers Award. In 2010, they won the battle of the bands competition “Músíktilraunir”. Of Monsters and Men are also known for their nomination for an MTV Europe Music Award in 2012 and winning a Key Art Award in 2013. In the movies, they are known for their work on “The Secret Life of Walter Mitty”, “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire”, “Barefoot”, “The Burial”, etc.
