OHMME Bio
From their love of Lush vocals, songwriting, and experimentation and sound was created OHMME (previously HOMME). This duo made up of Macie Stewart and Sima Cunningham started in the summer of 2014. The band is based in Chicago. Sima Cunningham is a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. Macie Stewart is a multi-instrumentalist, composer/arranger, songwriter, and improviser. They went to the same High school and though years apart admired each other's talent from afar. The rock band has musically trained artists who have their place in the Chicago improvisational music scene. They have worked with Chance the Rapper on Coloring Book And Surf, Vic Mensa, and Jeff Tweedy. They have since their start released 3 full records, many singles, and a collaborative dance film with Hubbard Street dance in 2021 Half of us. Over the years the band has had a relentless touring schedule.
