Ola Gjeilo is a highly acclaimed Norwegian composer, pianist, and music producer renowned for his exceptional contributions to classical and choral music. He was born in Skui, Bærum, Norway, on May 5, 1978.
Gjeilo's musical journey began at an early age, as he started playing the piano and composing when he was just five years old. By the age of seven, he had already developed an ability to read music, showcasing his innate talent and passion for the art form. Throughout his educational endeavors, Gjeilo pursued his passion for music, studying at prestigious institutions such as the Norwegian Academy of Music, the Juilliard School, and the Royal College of Music.
