Olafur Arnalds is an Icelandic multi-instrumentalist composer, musician and record producer. He was born on the 3rd of November, 1986, in Mosfellsbær, Iceland. He started his musical career in 2004, by composing and recording parts of the album “Antigone” by the metal band Heaven Shall Burn. In 2007, Arnalds released his debut solo album “Eulogy for Evolution”, soon followed by the EP “Variations of Static” during the next year. He toured alongside Sigur Rós and he made his second collaboration with German band Heaven Shall Burn. In 2009, he team up alongside Janus Rasmussen to make the experimental project Kiasmos, which featured a more electro-pop sound. In 2010, Arnalds release his second album “And They Have Escaped The Weight of Darkness” before touring in Asia. He released two more albums, one in 2013 called “For Now I Am Winter” and “Re:member” in 2018.
