Oliver Heldens is a Dutch electronic music producer and DJ. He was born Olivier J. L. Heldens, on the 1st of February, 1995, in Rotterdam, Netherlands. He began his professional career in 2013, after signing to Spinnin’ Records. One of his first releases on the label was the song “Thumper” featuring DJ Jacob van Hage. In 2013, Heldens’ track “Gecko” grabbed the attention of legendary DJ Tiësto, who signed him to his label Musical Freedom. Heldens also produced bass house music under the name HI-LO, and as such he has released songs like “Ooh La La” and “Scrub the Ground” which features a collaboration with Chocolate Puma and Tommie Sunshine. Heldens launched his own label Heldeep Records in 2015, and he has signed artists like Alok, Dada Life and Chocolate Puma. Heldens won the 2016 Style Icon Asia as Iconic Global Producer of the Year.
