Oliver Stone Bio
Oliver Stone, born as William Oliver Stone, on September 15, 1946, in New York City, New York, is a famous American filmmaker, writer, and director. During his career, Oliver Stone has won numerous awards and nominations for his work on famous movies such as Scarface, Midnight Express, Salvador, The Doors, and many others. He has won an Academy Award for Best Adapted Script for writing the script of The Midnight Express, and an Academy Award for Best Director and Best Picture for the war drama film Platoon. Oliver Stone has also worked on a trilogy of films based on the American Presidency – JFK, Nixon, W., and Snowden. He has won a second Best Director Oscar for his work on the series Born on the Fourth of July and Heaven & Earth.
