Omar Apollo Bio
Omar Apollo is a pop/rock and R&B singer born in Hobart, Indiana. He was taught by his Mexican uncle, who was a guitar player. Apollo started to learn about music at the early age of twelve years old. He dedicated most of his time in high school writing songs and recording them later on his own. In 2015, Omar took the decision to drop out of college and focus full-time to make music, taking as main influences artists from different genres like Coco Sánchez, D’Angelo, and David Bowie. After posting his tracks online, some of them went viral, taking Omar Apollo into the biggest audience, allowing him to play in his hometown and places like Chicago or Indianapolis. In 2018, “Stereo”, his first EP was issued, featuring songs in Spanish and English and the singles “Erase” and “Ugotme”. His sophomore EP, named “Friends” was released a year later. Apollo’s single in 2020 was “Imagine U”.
