Omar Gonzalez Bio
Omar Alejandro Gonzalez is an American professional soccer player who plays as a center-back and full-back in the MLS. He was born in Dallas, Texas, United States, on October 11, 1988. Omar spent his developmental years playing for the Dallas Texans, IMG Soccer Academy, and the University of Maryland, and he turned professional in 2009 when he joined LA Galaxy. Omar has since represented FC Nürnberg, Pachuca, Atlas, Toronto FC, and New England Revolution. Throughout his time at LA Galaxy, Omar played alongside Steven Gerrard, Robbie Keane, Giovani dos Santos, and Rafael Garcia. His career highlights include the MLS Cup, Liga MX, CONCACAF Champions League, CONCACAF Gold Cup, MLS Best XI, and MLS Defender of the Year.
