Hailing from Colorado Springs, Colorado, is the band OneRepublic, comprised of Ryan Tedder, Zach Filkins, Drew Brown, Eddie Fischer, and Brent Kutzle. In 2002, Ryan Tedder and Zach Filkins began posting their musical productions on their Myspace page, which helped them gain the attention they needed and eventually signed to Sony BMG. OneRepublic released their debut album in 2007, entitled Dreaming Out Loud, and was carried by the single “Apologize”, which was remixed by Timbaland. The song went to the #1 spot in over 15 countries, and their album was eventually certified Platinum in the United States.
OneRepublic later released the albums Waking Up in 2009 as well as Native in 2013, the latter featuring the smash hit “If I Lose Myself”. Out of their three endeavors, their third album has proved the most successful for the band, as it charted at #4 on the Billboard 200. The second single off of Native was entitled “Counting Stars”, and was able to chart highly in the United States, the UK, Ireland, New Zealand, Canada, and Australia.
