Pamela Yvonne Tillis (born July 24, 1957) is a country music singer and actress from the United States. Mel Tillis' daughter is a country music performer. Tillis began her career as a demo singer in Nashville, Tennessee, and was signed to Warner Bros. Records in 1981, releasing nine singles and one album, Above and Beyond the Doll of Cutey, which contained none of the singles. By 1991, she had signed with Arista Nashville, and "Don't Tell Me What to Do," the first of five songs from her album Put Yourself in My Place, had reached the Top 40 on Hot Country Songs for the first time. Between then and 2001, Tillis released five additional albums for Arista Nashville, as well as a greatest hits CD and 22 new singles.
