Panda Bear is the stage name of Noah Benjamin Lennox, who is an American musician, songwriter and singer. Lennox was born on the 17th of July, 1978, in Baltimore, Maryland, U.S. He is mostly known for being the founder and lead singer of the experimental psychedelic rock band Animal Collective. Lennox started Animal Collective around 2003, and they have released more than twelve albums and 8 EPs, and they also launched their own music label, Paw Tracks. Besides his production alongside the band, Lennox has released six LPs, including “Person Pitch” in 2007, which was a major success in the indie scene. As a soloist, he has performed at many important venues and festivals such as the Primavera Sound Festival, in Barcelona, Spain. He has also done several collaborations with Avey Tare and Brian Ross Weitz, a.k.a. Geologist. His fifth album, “Panda Bear Meets the Grim Reaper”, released in 2015, reached number 2 in the US Indie Chart.
