Paris Texas Bio
Paris Texas is a rap group consisting of Louie Pastel and Felix, based in Compton, Los Angeles. They appeared out of nowhere with a style that could be described as intense and surreal. Their first song, "Heavy Metal," appeared in February 2021, and took rap enthusiasts by surprise with its raw lyricism and an instrumental made up of abrasive guitars, nervous drum programming, and horror movie synths. The song's hybrid of aggressive energies was unique compared to other genre mashups because it landed in a strange and brutal territory all of its own. These songs among others were compiled for Paris Texas' debut mixtape, Boy Anonymous. Likewise, the subsequent singles, "Situations" and "Force of Habit," were similarly ethereal and genre-defying.
