Parra for Cuva is the stage name of Nicolas Demuth, a German musician, DJ and electronic music producer. He was born in 1991, in a small town of Lower Saxony, Germany. Demuth learned to play the piano as a child. He was deeply inspired by Debussy and by the jazz movement. He moved to Berlin in order to pursue his studies in Audio Design. Around 2013, Dumuth started gaining attention when he teamed up with Anna Naklab as Nianband. They released several singles before signing to the label Delicieuse Musique Records. In 2015, Dumuth released his debut album “Majouré” as Parra de Cuva, featuring collaborations with the likes of Nieve, Cassey K and Monsoonsiren. In 2016, Demuth, alongside Jonas Lechenmayr aka Senoy embarked in a journey through the south of Spain in a quest of new sounds for their album. The album “Darwîś” was the end result of the project, mixing trance inducing beats with the influences of their travel to Spain. He released the EP “Mood in C” in 2017, composed after a traditional Ethiopian pentatonic scale, and featuring synths, guitars and percussion recorded on travels with everyday objects. In 2018, he released the album “Paspatou”.
