Pastor Troy Bio

IG phone Pastor Troy, born Micah Levar Troy on November 18th, 1977 in Atlanta, Georgia is an American based rapper that came to prominence during the national breakout of Southern rappers in the U.S. in 2000. He made his recording debut in 1999 with his first album We Ready (I Declare War) on the Madd Society Records label.

In 2000 Troy was featured on up and coming rapper at the time, Ludacris, debut album  Back for the First Time on the song “Get Off Me.” He then started the rap group Down South Georgia Boyz. In 2002 he was featured on the song “Throw it Up” with Lil Jon’s collaborative album Kings of Crunk. In the same year Pastor Troy released his debut album on Universal Records, called Face Off.

His second major label album, Universal Soldier, featured beats from producer Timbaland including the single “Are We Cuttin’” and some Lil Jon produced tracks called “For My Hustlaz” and “If They Kill Me.” The album reached the number 13 spot on Billboard 200 and the single “Are We Cuttin” charted at number 96 on the Billboard Hot 100. Since then Troy has released a number of mixtapes including Stay Tru and By Choice or By Force.
