Paul Kalkbrenner is a venerated figure in the electronic world, with a career spanning since the turn of the millennium producing in the genres of techno, minimal, electronica, and downbeat. He works as a live act, assembling elements on the fly onstage. His greatest claim to fame is his 2008 chart-topping, platinum single “Sky and Sand,” produced in collaboration with his older brother Fritz. “Sky and Sand” was originally produced for the German movie “Berlin Calling,” a film he also acted a role in.
Paul Kalkbrenner followed this with a sold-out world tour in 2010, launching his own self-titled record label in the process. He has since launched five studio albums, all charting in the top-40 worldwide and the 2015 album “7“ hitting top-ten in Germany, Austria, Belgium, Italy, Netherlands, and Switzerland.
