Paul Soter was born in Sacramento, California on August 16, 1969. He appeared in the 1994 short Tinfoil Monkey Agenda. He was the writer and director of Puddle Cruiser (1996), Super Troopers (2001), Club Dread (2004), Beerfest (2006), and The Slammin’ Salmon (2009). He worked with the members of the comedy group Broken Lizard in all the films above. He also made appearances on all the films.
In 20017, he directed Watching the Detectives (2007), a straight to DVD film. He also appeared in the film The Dukes of Hazzard (2005), Freeloaders (2012), and Badlands of Kain (2016). In 2013, he wrote and directed Dark Circles and in 2015 executive-produced Quality Time. Super Troopers 2 was released in 2018, and it was also written by Broken Lizard.
He has also been working as Omelet’s director of creative vision.
