Paul Anthony Young, born on January 17, 1956, in Luton, England, is an English singer, songwriter, and musician, famous for being the frontman of the bands Kat Kool & the Kool Cats, Q-Tips, and Streetband, but also for being a famous teen idol with his solo career in the 1980s. He has written and performed a long list of singles during his career, many of which have reached the Top 10 of the UK Singles Chart with some of them being Love of the Common People, Wherever I Lay My Hat, Come Back and Stay and many more. His debut solo album was released in 1983, named No Parlez, and was charted as one of the first three UK number one albums. Paul Young has been awarded the Best British Male award and Best British Video Award.
