Pearl Mackie is a TV actress who was born on May 29, 1987, in London, England. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Bristol before completing her training at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School in the year 2010. She made a name for herself in the entertainment industry as a stage actress. Her career took a significant leap forward after it was announced that she would be The Doctor's new companion on the BBC show Doctor Who, the titular character played by Peter Capaldi. Additionally, she was featured in the music video for Years & Years's song "Real." alongside other actors such as Ben Whishaw, Tuppence Middleton, and Nathan Stewart-Jarrett.
