Pep Guardiola is a football manager and former player who currently manages the Premier league football Club Manchester City. Pep Guardiola is considered one of the best managers in the world, having won the most consecutive league games in the Premier League, Bundesliga, and La Liga. Born on 18th January 1971 in Spain, Guardiola started his career in 1981 with the Gimnastic Manresa youth academy. In 1983, he joined the Barcelona youth setup. He went on to play for the Barcelona academy until 1990 when he was called to the senior team.
He played 263 games for Barcelona, scoring 6 goals in a spell that span over 11 years. He later played for Brescia, Roma, Al-Alhi, and Dorados. Pep Guardiola started his managerial career in 2007 with Barcelona B. The following year, he became manager of the senior team, where he managed the likes of Lionel Messi, Dani Alves, Andres Iniesta, and Gerard Pique. He went on to win the Champions League. In 2013, he joined Bayern Munich and in 2016 he signed with Man City.
