Pervis Josué Estupiñán was born on January 21, 1998 in Esmeraldas, Ecuador. He is a renowned left-back who has played for Brighton & Hove Albion in the Premier League and the Ecuador national team.
Estupiñán began his football journey at 13, joining LDU Quito's youth team. He scored a goal on his professional debut against El Nacional in 2015. Later, he joined Watford in 2016 and was loaned to Granada CF, making his La Liga debut on April 5, 2017 against Deportivo de La Coruna.
In 2018, Estupiñán went on loan to RCD Mallorca. Two years later, he signed a transfer deal with Villarreal for £15 million. In 2022, Estupiñán made a move to Brighton & Hove Albion in the Premier League for an undisclosed fee.
On October 13, 2019, he made his debut for the Ecuador national team in a friendly match against Argentina. His impressive performance earned him a spot on the squad for the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar, as selected by Ecuador's manager.
