Pete Dunne Bio

Peter Thomas England, popularly known as Pete Dunne, was born on November 9, 1993, in Birmingham, England. He is an English professional wrestler most renowned for his work in WWE. He has also wrestled for other promotions including Progress Wrestling, Michinoku Pro Wrestling, Revolution Pro Wrestling, and Insane Championship Wrestling (ICW).

Dunne began training in 2006 under the tutelage of Steve "Psycho Steve" Edwards at Phoenix Wrestling in Coventry. In 2007, he made his first appearance as a wrestler at the Holbrooks Festival in Coventry. In 2010, Pete began his professional wrestling career, working for various independent promotions in the United Kingdom. In 2011, he co-founded ATTACK! Pro Wrestling with his friend Jim Lee.

On December 15, 2016, Dunne was revealed as one of 16 men to compete in a two-night tournament to crown the first ever WWE United Kingdom Champion in January, 2017. He made it to the final of the competition losing to Tyler Bate. On May 20, 2017 Dunne made his debut at NXT TakeOver: Chicago where he defeated Tyler Bate to win the United Kingdom Championship. He is the first-ever WWE United Kingdom Champion. He is also a three-time WWE NXT Tag Team Champion.
