Pete Tong Bio
Pete Tong is an English DJ, music producer and radio host. He was born Peter Michael Tong on the 30th of July, 1960, in Dartford, Kent, England. He started his own club, right after finishing his studies, where he performed as a DJ. He also booked several other underground bands such as Culture Club. His first appearance on British radio was on Radio Invicta. In 1984, he became the host of a radio show on that same station. Tong is one of England’s most awarded DJs, besides being a tastemaker of the electronic scene. He has done several residencies at major venues such as Sound Nightclub in Los Angeles. Tong’s compilations are very successful, especially his 2013’s “The Pete Tong Collection”. He has collaborated with artists such as The Magician, Blondes and Oliver Heldens.
