Peter Berg was born on March 11th, 1964 in New York City, New York. Peter joined the Macalester College where he majored in theatre arts and theatre history and graduated in 1984. A year later he moved to LA. His debut films 21 Jump Street and Quiet Victory: A Wedemeyer Story were both released in 1988. His recognition as an actor can be attributed to his role in A Midnight Clear (1992). Peter’s debut as a director came in the form of Very Bad Things (1998). He has since gone on to work on smash hits like Battleship, Lone Survivor (2013), and Deep Water Horizon (2016). He also directed TV series such as the highly rated Ballers. Peter was awarded the AFI Award for Movie of the Year (2005) and ESPY Award for Best Sports Movie (2005).
