Peter Mullan is an award-winning Scottish actor, director, writer, and producer best known for his work in film and television. He was born in Peterhead, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, on November 2, 1959.
Peter began his acting career in 1988 when he was cast in the film The Steamie. He has since had recurring roles in the TV series The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, The Underground Railroad, Cursed, Westworld, Mum, Ozark, Gunpowder, Quarry, Top of the Lake, and The Fixer. Peter’s filmography includes Hercules, War Horse, Hostiles, Trainspotting, The Last Legion, The Magdalene Sisters, and My Name Is Joe, but he is best known for starring in the action-drama film Children of Men alongside Julianne Moore, Clive Owen, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Michael Caine. Peter has won four BAFTA Awards for Best Actor – Film, Best Actor/Actress – Television, Best Writer, and Best Director.
