Peter Yarrow, born on May 31, 1938, in Manhattan, New York City, New York, is an American singer and songwriter. He is most famous for being a part of the folk trio called Peter, Paul, and Mary, which he co-founded along with Noel Paul Stookey, and Mary Travers back in 1961, in New York City, New York. Some of the trio’s greatest hits were written by Peter Yarrow himself, including Puff, The Magic Dragon, Day Is Done, and Light One Candle, among many others. But Peter Yarrow has had a pretty successful solo career as well. He released his debut album named Peter Us #163 in 1972 and since then has released four more albums with his last one being released in 2010, named The Peter Yarrow Sing-Along Special.
