Petey Bio
Petey, originally Peter Martin, is a singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer who was born in Detroit and raised in Chicago. He blends spirited indie rock, emo, punk, and electro-pop with introspective and transformative lyrics. He signed a deal with Terrible Records in 2019 and released the EPs Checkin' Up on Buds, High Life from the Bottle on the Beach, and Car Practice. He was motivated by musicians like Death Cab for Cutie and Modest Mouse. Petey used his creative energy to produce a number of alt-comedy videos that helped him gain nearly a million followers on social media after the COVID-19 pandemic forced him into isolation back in 2020 and prevented him from touring. Additionally, he released his debut full-length album, Lean Into Life in 2021.
