Phil Rosenthal is a screenwriter, actor, and producer born on January 27, 1960, in the United States. In 1981, he received his diploma from Hofstra University. Early in his career, he began working as a producer and writer for the popular sitcom Coach. However, he shot to international stardom as the brains behind the popular sitcom Everybody Loves Raymond. His acting career has included roles in shows such as 30 Rock, Curb Your Enthusiasm and The Simpsons Movie. Additionally, he was the host of the successful television series I'll Have What Phil's Having, which aired on PBS. He was nominated for both the Peabody and the Emmy for his work writing the September 11th telethon - America: A Tribute to Heroes.
